A major accident has happened on the sets of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film ‘Love and War’. 42-year-old carpenter Chandradhari Singh Yadav died of electrocution due to a short circuit at the Royal Pump Studio in Mumbai’s Film City. Actress Alia Bhatt was shooting on the set at the time of the incident. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has demanded to increase the compensation of Rs 40 lakh announced by Bhansali Productions to Rs 50 lakh so that the education of the children of the deceased can be secured. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is directing this film. Claiming to work continuously for 20 hours, FWICE General Secretary Ashok Dubey has raised questions on the working hours of the workers after this incident. According to Hindustan Times report, Chandradhari Singh Yadav was working in a very strict schedule for three consecutive days before the accident. They were on duty from 7 am to 3 am the next day. The Federation says that fatigue due to working continuously for about 20 hours and lack of safety arrangements could be the reason for this accident. The federation has demanded all production houses to implement strict safety checks on the sets. FWICE demands job: After the accident, Bhansali Productions has said to provide financial assistance of Rs 40 lakh to the victim’s family. On this, FWICE President BN Tiwari said that the children of the deceased are still very young. The family will need more help for their education, so the compensation amount should be increased to Rs 500 lakh. Along with this, the Federation has also requested Bhansali Productions to provide a job to Chandradhari Yadav’s wife for permanent income. Wife and two daughters in the family: Deceased Chandradhari Singh Yadav has left behind his wife and two young daughters. Praising the technician, BN Tiwari said that he was a very talented worker and his demise is sad for the entire industry. The federation says that the working hours of workers should be regularized so that such incidents due to fatigue can be prevented in future. ‘Love and War’ will be released in January 2027. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ is one of the most talked about films of Bollywood at present. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 21 January 2027 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt are in lead roles in the film. This will be Ranbir and Alia’s second film together after the successful film ‘Brahmastra’ of 2022. Vicky Kaushal has also previously worked with Ranbir in ‘Sanju’ and with Alia in ‘Raazi’.
