Kevin Berry, an eyewitness, said he was listening to live music with his friends at the nearby Arboretum when suddenly several gunshots were heard. Many people lay down on the ground. Some ran away. According to Berry, he saw five injured people who had been shot. There was also a weapon lying there, which someone had thrown away.
