Canadian sensation Victoria Mboko, who will partner-up with American icon Serena Williams on her return to the court at the Queen’s Club Championship, welcomed the legend back to the court, expressing her delight with the chance to share space with one the finest players to pick up a racquet.
“The Queen is back,” she said.

The 44-year-old Williams will play alongside rising star Victoria Mboko, after completing a six-month period in the anti-doping testing pool. The 19-year-old Canadian talent Mboko, who broke through with a home victory in 2025, now has the chance to share the court with one of the most iconic figures in tennis history—a prospect she is sure to cherish as she looks to build momentum early in her career.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion last competed professionally in the third round of the 2022 US Open, where she suffered a defeat.
Although she initially dismissed the idea of a comeback, the icon re-entered the anti-doping testing pool in December and has since regained her eligibility.
In January, she left the door open to a possible return, saying, “I’m just having fun and enjoying my life right now.”
“Did I re-enter? I didn’t know if I was out. Listen, I can’t discuss this,” the American joked when asked about her status in the anti-doping pool.
The legendary American has captured 7 Australian Open titles, 3 French Open titles, 7 Wimbledon titles, and 6 US Open titles, making her the most decorated woman in the sport.
