US-Israel-Iran War News Live Updates: Trump Rebuts Reports On Proposed Deal, Says ‘Iran Will Not Have A Nuclear Weapon’

US-Israel-Iran War News Live Updates: The United Nations Security Council is set to convene an emergency session on Monday to discuss Israel’s expanded military operations in Lebanon, diplomatic sources told AFP. The meeting was requested by France after Israeli forces captured the medieval Beaufort Castle.

According to the sources, the session will be held immediately after another emergency Security Council meeting concerning the crash of a Russian drone into a residential apartment building in Romania. That meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT).

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump rejected reports that his proposed agreement with Iran lacks provisions addressing Tehran’s nuclear programme.

“Fake News CNN said today, routinely, that my Iran Nuclear Deal doesn’t talk about Nuclear, when actually it states, very clearly, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump wrote.

He further said the proposed deal contains extensive nuclear-related provisions.

“It goes on, in very strong and lengthy detail, to discuss various other aspects of Nuclear,” he said, adding, “In fact, that’s what most of the agreement is about.”
