US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth said that India is rapidly modernizing its military along with increasing its military strength. America is also working with India on defense production and new technologies. Speaking at an event in Singapore, Hegseth said India is building strong industrial and logistics capabilities to handle high-end military operations. India is playing an important role in maintaining the balance of power especially in the Indian Ocean region. Hegseth further said that the Asia-Pacific region has become the most important region of the world and the US military has a big role in maintaining security here. He appealed to countries to invest more in their defense preparedness. He also said that relations between America and China have improved during the tenure of President Donald Trump, but no country can dominate the region.
