The fire in the forests of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir is now taking the form of a big crisis. The fire that broke out in Kasauli, Solan, Himachal Pradesh reached military establishments and residential areas.

After this the Indian Air Force had to be deployed in the relief operation. The forest fire in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, reached Gangotri Highway and 70 travelers had to be evacuated from a guest house surrounded by smoke. Whereas in Udhampur and Ramban districts of Jammu and Kashmir, forests have been burning for several days and many villages have come under fire.

Visibility in the mountains has reduced due to the dense smoke and people are facing difficulty in breathing in many areas. The fire is continuously spreading due to extreme heat, dry forest and strong winds.

In Himachal, the Air Force continued helicopter operations even at night, while in Jammu and Kashmir, relief operations are being affected due to inaccessible hilly terrain and strong winds.

Uttarakhand: 3 people died, more than 340 hectares of forest turned into ashes

The threat from the fire has reached military establishments and residential areas. 4 Mi-17 V5 helicopters of the Air Force have been deployed on the spot. During this period, 62,500 liters of water has been spilled in the area.

Jammu and Kashmir: Fire in many areas since 4 days

The forests in the northern part of Udhampur have been on fire for four days. Many compartments of Ramnagar Forest Division have also been affected by the fire. Many villages and areas came under fire. This spread panic among the people.

The fire spread rapidly due to strong winds. Local people and forest department are running a joint operation.
