Albino breed very rare in Bangladesh
White or albino buffaloes are considered extremely rare in Bangladesh. Mostly only black colored animals are seen there. In such a situation, the different color of this buffalo and the golden hair on its head became a big reason for attraction for the people.
A pigment called melanin is produced very little or not at all in the body of animals of albino breed. This pigment gives color to skin, hair and eyes. Due to its deficiency, the color of such animals appears white or light pink.
According to experts, sometimes one albino is born among thousands of normal animals. Their skin and eyes are sensitive, hence they are more at risk from sunlight, infections and skin related diseases.
