Thousands of people took to the streets in Israel on Saturday (August 24) demanding elections. People accused the Netanyahu government of failing to save the hostages. During this, the protesters also demanded Prime Minister Netanyahu to bring back the hostages and sign a ceasefire agreement.
According to The Times of Israel, families of hostages killed in the war accused Netanyahu during a protest in Tel Aviv that he could have saved them if he wanted.
The Israeli army recovered the bodies of 6 hostages from Gaza on Tuesday (August 20). This protest was led by their families. During the protests, three protesters were detained in Jerusalem.

The protesters demonstrated demanding a peace agreement.
Protesters said- If Netanyahu does not sign a peace agreement, the wishes of the radical leaders will be fulfilled
Protesters also accused Netanyahu of failing to reach a peace deal with Hamas. “If Netanyahu cannot reach a peace deal, he will carry out the wishes of Hamas – Israel’s hardline leaders Yahya Sinwar and Ben Gvir,” said Dikman, the brother of one of the hostages.
At the same time, opposition leader Yair Lapid said that instead of sending a team for ceasefire, the Prime Minister himself should go to Cairo for talks. In fact, talks were held between Hamas, Egypt, Qatar and America in Cairo on Saturday to stop the war between Israel and Hamas.
However, Lebanon’s pro-Hezbollah news agency, Al Mayadeen News, said the talks in Cairo did not yield any solution. Hamas said Israel must withdraw its troops from the Philadelphi corridor, the report claimed.
Earlier, an Israeli team also went to Cairo for talks on Thursday and Friday.

More than 40 thousand people have died so far in the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel.
