- Coimbatore Man Attacks Girl’s House With Kerosene Bomb After Proposal Rejection

In Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, a young man, upset over a breakup, attacked a girl’s house with a kerosene bomb. Due to this a fire broke out in the verandah of the house. People nearby controlled the fire in time, due to which a major accident was averted. The incident took place on Sunday, CCTV footage of which has now surfaced.
Police have arrested the accused Karthik alias Mariyappan. Police said that Karthik was friends with the girl. But when the girl came to know that there were more than 31 criminal cases registered against Karthik, including murder, she stopped talking to him. Angered by this, the accused threatened to kill him.

The victim told the police that Karthik along with his three companions reached her house on a bike on Sunday evening. While sitting on the bike, he threw two kerosene bombs at the victim’s house and fled away. Due to this the verandah caught fire. However, the girl’s father was standing outside the house during the incident. He had seen the accused throwing a bomb at the house.
He called out to the people nearby for help. People immediately reached the spot and took out the vehicles parked in the verandah, due to which a major accident was averted. People extinguished the fire by taking water from the underground tank of the house. The police had arrested the accused on Monday.
