A video recorded inside the office chamber of C. Joseph Vijay at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat in Chennai has gone viral on social media, triggering discussion over security and recording protocols inside the Chief Minister’s Office.
The video was reportedly shot during an official meeting chaired by Vijay with representatives of the specially-abled community to discuss their issues. During the interaction, one of the attendees began recording a video on his phone, panning across the room and capturing Vijay along with other participants present at the meeting.

However, officials and visitors are generally prohibited from recording videos or taking photographs inside the Chief Minister’s Office without prior authorisation, raising questions over how the recording was allowed inside the high-security administrative space.
