India and UAE exchange MoUs in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
PM Modi Visit UAE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (local time) expressed gratitude to UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for supporting the Indian community during the Iran war and said that Abu Dhabi showed remarkable patience in difficult circumstances.
While holding delegation-level talks with the UAE President in Abu Dhabi, PM Modi said, “You showed remarkable patience in these difficult circumstances. During the tough times, you took care of the Indians living in the UAE as if they were your own family. I am grateful to you.”
He also thanked the UAE leadership for a warm welcome and said, “I express heartfelt gratitude to you for the warm welcome. Just like you said – I have come to my second home. This sentiment is a huge capital of my life.”

PM Modi also thanked Sheikh Mohamed for expressing condolences over the recent natural disaster in India. “You expressed condolences to the families affected by the natural disaster in the past few days in India. I express gratitude to you for this,” he said.

The Prime Minister also described targeting of the UAE during Iran-US-Israel war as “unacceptable in any manner,” reaffirming India’s support for the country amid regional tensions.
Recalling their frequent interactions, PM Modi said, “I used to keep speaking to you over the phone, but I was very eager to meet you in person.”

PM Modi arrived in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on the first leg of his five-nation tour. His visit to the UAE comes at a time when the region is already stuck in the crossfire amid the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran. India and the UAE also exchanged multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the presence of the two leaders, further strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
