Then Venugopal can reach the assembly through by-elections. According to reports, VD Satheesan got the support of only 6 MLAs in the meeting. However, after the meeting, three former state presidents have supported Satheesan’s name. Apart from this, UDF allies IUML and Keralam Congress (Joseph) have openly supported Satheesan.
