BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Friday took a swipe at the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, over the latter’s “Jadoo” remark in the Parliament and referred to it as a “headache.” She also mentioned that the Congress leader is going through a childhood trauma because of the magic show he witnessed in his childhood.

Speaking to the reporters, Ranaut said, “It was such a headache to listen to him. He is going through his childhood traumas and through the magic show he witnessed in his childhood. It was a nuisance. The Chair also asked him to stop. He has made a mockery of the Parliament.”

What Did Rahul Gandhi Say?

Addressing the Lok Sabha during the debate on the Women’s Reservation Bill, Gandhi referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “magician,” a remark that triggered an uproar in the lower house.

“What you (BJP) are doing, because you are scared of what is happening in the politics of the country, you are scared of the erosion of your strength, and you are trying to rejig the Indian political map. You did it in Assam, J&K, and now imagining you can do it in India. You need a constitutional amendment to do that,” Gandhi said.

“The truth is the magician has been caught. The magician of Balakot, the magician of demonetisation, the magician of Sindoor has suddenly got caught. Everybody knows that there is a partnership between our friend, the magician and the businessman,” he added.

BJP Reacts Sharply To Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Jadoo’ Remark

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reacted strongly to Gandhi’s remark, with Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju saying the Congress leader was using wrong language for the Prime Minister and defaming the country and the military by referencing the Balakot strikes and Operation Sindoor.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also stepped in and said, “The kind of words being used by the Leader of the Opposition about the Prime Minister of this country are extremely unfortunate. I believe that no amount of condemnation of this is enough.”

“Repeatedly calling him a ‘magician’ is actually an insult to the people of the country. I would like to request you that the words he has used be expunged from the proceedings. Rahul Gandhi should apologise,” he added.
