US-Israel-Iran War News LIVE: US Says It Turned Back 10 Ships Since Start Of Hormuz Blockade This Week

US-Iran-Israel War LIVE: The US military said on Wednesday that it stopped 10 ships from leaving Iranian ports in the first two days of its naval blockade.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on X that no ships have managed to get past the blockade since it began on Monday. Earlier, it had reported stopping nine ships, but later added a tenth that was turned back by a US warship.

On the other hand, the military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Wednesday warned that Tehran could attack US ships in the Strait of Hormuz if Washington continues to “police” the key shipping bottleneck.

Mohsen Rezaei, a former commander-in-chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards who was named as a military adviser to Khamenei, said on state television that any attempt by the United States to “police” the vital shipping route would provoke a strong response.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani delegation led by Army chief Asim Munir held talks with officials in Iran on the possibility of a new round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Additionally, White House spokesperson expressed optimism for continued negotiations between the US and Iran, saying future talks were likely to be held again in Islamabad.
