In a stern message directed at maintaining industrial harmony days after violent workers’ protests shook NoidaUP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday asserted that no external elements should be allowed to interfere in the internal matters of any corporate group or manufacturing plants.
Speaking at the Tata Motors Lucknow plant, the Chief Minister emphasised that industrial stability is the backbone of Uttar Pradesh’s transformation into a global manufacturing hub.
His comments came after the government approved an interim wage hike, which includes a 21% increase for workers in Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar, the district encompassing Noida.
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR DISRUPTION
While highlighting the state’s industrial progress at the Lucknow plant, where he flagged off 10 lakh vehicles, including a high-tech electric bus with a 200 km range, Adityanath issued a clear warning against disruptive forces. He said that avoiding external interference is essential to keeping an organisation strong.
“Those who disrupt are many, but those who build are very few,” he cautioned. “Under no circumstances should external elements be allowed to interfere in the internal matters of any group or plant.”
He urged employees to treat their organisations like a family, maintaining unity and trust to shield the industrial environment from outside agitation. He noted that the foundation of success lies in teamwork, gratitude, and honesty, rather than succumbing to external pressures.
GROWTH UNDER DOUBLE ENGINE
Adityanath said that before Uttar Pradesh came under the double-engine rule, it lacked its identity, as it suffered from poor connectivity and security challenges.
“It was difficult to distinguish between roads and potholes, and investors were hesitant to come,” the UP CM said. Emphasising how the situation rapidly changed, he added, “However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state has now gained a new direction, where improved law and order and modern infrastructure have laid a strong foundation for development.”
He also said that Uttar Pradesh presently accounts for about 55% of the country’s expressways, and the share of expressways will increase to 60% once the Ganga Expressway is inaugurated this month.
