A student opened indiscriminate firing in a school in Turkey, in which students and teachers were also injured.
A case of school shooting has been reported in Turkey for the second consecutive day. On Wednesday, a 13-year-old student opened fire in a middle school. Three students and one teacher died in this, while about 20 people were injured. The attacker later shot himself.
Governor Mukerram Unluer said that the attacker was an eighth grade student. He had reached school with five weapons and seven magazines in his bag. According to initial information, these weapons may belong to his former police officer father.
After the incident, police were deployed in the area and investigation was started. According to the governor, the attacker entered two classrooms inside the school, where fifth grade students were studying. He fired indiscriminately there. The condition of four of the injured is said to be critical and their operation is underway.

Meanwhile, in the video surfaced on social media, it was seen that during the firing, many students were trying to save their lives by jumping from the second floor of the school.
In the CCTV footage, the attacker was also seen firing at students in the corridor of the school. However, this footage has not been confirmed. After the incident, Justice Minister Akin Gurlek said that an investigation into the matter has been started.

According to Governor Hasan Sildaq, 10 students, four teachers, a canteen worker and a police officer were injured in the attack. Meanwhile, the police surrounded the entire area and started a special operation in the school. The accused refused to surrender.
The Governor said, “The accused was surrounded inside the school during the operation. During this time he shot himself.” Investigation of the matter is ongoing. School shootings are very rare in Turkey, but these incidents that happened in two consecutive days have raised concerns about security.
