What kind of song do you both consider the song ‘Sari Farmesh’ to be and how does it connect with the mood of the audience? Akanksha Puri- This song is such that can be heard in every mood. Wherever you are, whatever environment you’re in, this song fits. A vibe is created just by listening to it. How did you two come together for this song and what is the whole story behind it? Akanksha Puri- The producer demanded that the lead actors should be fit and good looking. I was already locked, but my co-actor’s name was not revealed. When I came to know that it was Ashmit Patel, I was sure that the song would be great. When you were offered this song, what did you find special in it and why did you decide to do it immediately? Ashmit Patel- When I was approached, Akanksha Puri was already onboard. I liked the song and its concept very much. The directors had complete clarity, so it was an easy decision for me. Any special or funny incident during the shooting that you still remember? Ashmit Patel- I had to do a shirtless scene, so I did not eat anything the whole day. That shot happened at 3 o’clock in the night and pack-up at 4 o’clock. After that, at 6 in the morning, Akanksha Puri served me parathas, that moment was memorable. Was there ever a healthy competition between you two regarding fitness and looks? Ashmit Patel- Very much! Akanksha Puri used to intimidate me about her abs. Will the audience get to see the pair of you together again in any project in the future? Akanksha Puri- We are getting many offers together, especially from OTT. Hopefully we will be seen together again in some project soon. Ashmit Patel- I also think that we will work together in some film or project soon because people are liking our chemistry. The pairing of you and Khesari Lal Yadav has already been a hit, so after this new song, what do you have to say about the comments that you are ‘cheating’ him? Akanksha Puri- It is not like that at all. Khesari Lal Yadav is a very hardworking and brilliant artist, and people like my connection with him, especially our dancing energy matches. But that doesn’t mean I can’t work with someone else. I have done less songs with him, but our chemistry is strong, so people notice it more. What is your stance on reality shows and is there a possibility of appearing in it in future? Akanksha Puri- I have rejected some offers because every show is not for me. But if I get the right opportunity I will definitely do it. Ashmit Patel- I am completely open to reality shows, especially I would like to do a show like Khatron Ke Khiladi.
