1. CM said- If you kill a crow and hang it, no one will commit disrespect
In the special session of the Punjab Assembly on Monday, CM Bhagwant Mann introduced the Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill-2026. It was passed unanimously. He said that the punishment for sacrilege is life imprisonment till death. He said that the desecration of the form of Guru Granth Sahib has been explained in detail.
Mann said- This is a state act. It is not only our responsibility but also your responsibility to get the signature from the Governor. You reach the Governor with my complaint every third day. Sometimes go to get work done. If the Governor is late then both will go together. Speaker sir! If you kill half a crow and hang it, then no one will commit disrespect again for generations.
Bajwa said in the House that 5 cases of sacrilege have gone out of the city. The government did not protest. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh was the poster boy, he is out of the party. CM Mann got angry on this. He said- Your treasury minister and chief minister are outside the party. It is our decision as to whom to make minister or not. 2. Vrindavan accident- Bodies of 2 more devotees found in Ludhiana on the fourth day

Bodies of two more devotees were found on the fourth day of the boat accident in Vrindavan. In this, one is of a woman and the other of a young man. Both are residents of Ludhiana. Now the death toll has increased to 15. Right now a young man is missing. Different teams of about 250 people including Army, NDRF-SDRF have gathered in search of him. The teams have also increased the scope of investigation from 14 km to 20 km.
The deceased youth has been identified as Yash Bhalla and the woman has been identified as Monica. Yash had gone to Vrindavan for the first time. He was associated with the Banke Bihari group and played dholak. In the video that surfaced before the accident, he is seen playing the dholak while singing bhajans. Only 6 months had passed since Monica’s marriage.
She went on a trip with her mother-in-law. Her husband is abroad and she too was planning to go abroad soon. Meanwhile, the missing youth Pankaj is a resident of Jalalabad, Fazilka. 4. ₹ 1000 scheme for women, registration date changed

Registration for ‘Mukhyamantri Mavan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’, which provides one thousand rupees every month to women in Punjab, will now start from April 15. Earlier, April 13, the day of Baisakhi, was fixed for this, but it was postponed due to the special assembly session regarding sacrilege law.

8. Threat to bomb the passport office

Officials associated with the Ministry of External Affairs in Chandigarh have received an email, in which a threat has been made to blow up the passport office and post offices. The email said that a total of 14 poisonous IEDs filled with cyanide have been planted in post offices and passport offices. The email talks about releasing Matthew VanDyke and Jafar Sadiq.
This email was sent at 1 am on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday and the blast was said to take place at 1:15 pm on Monday afternoon. The sender of the e-mail described himself as associated with Azad Dravida Nadu. In this, he has cited the reason behind the threat as resentment over political, police matters in Tamil Nadu along with incidents related to Bangladesh.

After receiving this email, Chandigarh Police became active and evacuated the passport office and searched it. However, the police did not find anything. 9. Wife said- Beer bottle poured in private part

10. Woman did not apply handbrake properly, uncontrolled car entered showroom

An uncontrolled car of a woman entered the showroom located on the lower ground of Sushma Capital Commercial Complex located at Dhakoli in Zirakpur.
