Subhash Chandra Bose’s grandson and former BJP leader Chandra Kumar Bose joined TMC on Sunday. Bose joined the ruling party in the presence of Minister of State Bratya Basu and TMC MP Kirti Azad.
After joining TMC, Chandra Kumar said- Today we are seeing that BJP does divisive politics and spreads communal hatred. Now we have to fight to save India and oppose the divisive politics.
Chandra Bose had joined BJP in 2016 and contested the assembly elections from Bhawanipur against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the same year, but he lost. He later contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Kolkata South but again faced defeat. He left BJP in 2023.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually interact with BJP workers of Tamil Nadu through the program ‘Mera Booth-Sabse Sambhag Samvad’ on Monday at 4 pm.
