- UP Rajasthan Rain Hail | 15 States Storm Alert; Uttarakhand, Himachal, J&K Snowfall

Today IMD has issued a storm alert in 15 states including Chhattisgarh and Bihar. There was snowfall in all four Dhams of Uttarakhand i.e. Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri on Wednesday.
At the same time, snow fell in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, while it rained in the plains. Himachal’s average maximum temperature went 11°C below normal. Fresh snowfall also occurred in high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir including Gulmarg.
Here, there was rain with strong winds in 25 districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow. The pontoon bridge built on the Ganga ferry ghat in Meja of Prayagraj was washed away in the strong current. There are 3 cyclonic activities in Madhya Pradesh.
In Rajasthan, more than an inch of rain was recorded in many districts in the last two days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain clear for a week from April 9. The coldest day of April in 11 years was recorded in Delhi on Wednesday.

Due to continuous heavy snowfall in Kedarnath Dham of Uttarakhand, the entire area is covered with a thick layer of snow.

There was heavy snowfall in Yamunotri, Uttarakhand on Wednesday.

A tree branch broke and fell on a moving roadways bus in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.

9 April- There is a possibility of snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Whereas, there may be light rain at isolated places in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Whereas in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha, strong winds at a speed of 30 to 50 km/hour may occur along with thunderstorms. There is an alert of heavy rain in Assam and Meghalaya.
10 April: Light to moderate rain and snowfall may continue in Jammu and Kashmir. There is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand also. In West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha, strong winds with a speed of 30 to 50 km/hr may occur along with thunderstorms.
