Standup comedian Samay Raina is back with his new YouTube special ‘Samay Raina – Still Alive’. This is his first big video after the huge controversy regarding the show ‘India’s Got Latent’ last year. In this 1 hour 21 minute special released on Tuesday, Samay has responded to all those celebs who had criticized him in difficult times. He also told his fans that he is soon bringing season 2 of ‘India’s Got Latent’. Samay has described the latent dispute as a ‘crossfire’, in which he, being a Kashmiri, was caught in the middle. Mukesh Khanna and B Praak were targeted during the controversy. Mukesh Khanna (Shaktimaan) and singer B Praak had criticized Samay a lot. Countering this, Samay said, “Shaktiman was saying what effect such content would have on children. Brother, when Shaktiman used to come, every second month there was news that a child jumped off the roof thinking it was Shaktiman. You have killed children, what are you saying?” For B Praak, he said that no one had even invited him on the podcast, yet he jumped in. Mentioning Sunil Pal and Kapil Sharma, Samay also took a dig at comedian Sunil Pal. He told that Sunil Pal was advising him to learn from Kapil Sharma on TV, whereas in reality Kapil was going to appear in the next episode of Samay. Samay claimed that Kapil used to praise the show by messaging him and called himself his big fan. Samay said that playing a ‘clean’ character was artificial for him and he would not give up his style of dark comedy. Time of disclosure on Ranveer Allahbadia: In his special, Raina spoke openly on the FIR which was lodged due to a comment by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Samay told that in that controversial episode, Ranveer had asked an indecent question about the parents of a contestant not once but 8 times. Samay jokingly said, “I had removed 7 out of those 8 questions during the edit. I had killed 99% of the germs from my side, but one percent remained and there was a dispute.” He took a dig at Ranveer’s ‘clean image’ and called him ‘the monk who sold my Ferrari’. Season 2 of ‘India’s Got Latent’ will come. In the last part of the video, Samay announced his future project. He said that people often ask whether ‘India’s Got Latent’ is over? Samay said, “Season 1 couldn’t have ended on a better high point. But I will definitely bring a season 2 because I enjoy doing that. Now I just want to have fun while I’m in the world.” He promised that the next season will be even more ‘wild’. What was the controversy of 2025? In the year 2025, Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ was embroiled in controversy due to its dark comedy and obscene jokes. Ranveer Allahabadia, who came as a guest on the show, had commented on the family of a contestant, after which an FIR was registered with the police. Due to immense pressure and legal action, Samay had to delete that episode and also apologized.
