It made a profit of 16.2% i.e. about Rs 600 crore, which is many times more than the 5.5% profit of the sector giant Hims. Fast decisions are Medvi’s biggest strength – Sam Altman, CEO of Gallagher Open AI, said in 2024 that thanks to AI, soon a single person will be able to create a company worth 1 billion dollars. Upon hearing Medvi’s story, Altman said he had made a bet with tech friends and probably won. “I make decisions quickly,” Gallagher said. This is Medvi’s biggest strength. Gallagher, who is handling the entire business of Medvi with more than 12 AI tools, took the help of a dozen AI tools in building the company. Got coding done with Chatgpt, Claude, Grok. Made photographs and videos for advertisements from ‘Midjourney’ and ‘Runway’. ElevenLabs developed AI voice system for customer service. Also created an AI clone of his voice, so that tasks like taking personal appointments could be handled by AI. Work like medicine delivery, doctors’ network and compliance are being done by platforms like CareValidate, OpenLoop Health. The only employee was the founder’s own brother. As the work expanded, Gallagher hired his younger brother Eliot. He is the only employee of the company. Eliot’s job is to filter out useless messages and calls coming to his brother, so that he can concentrate on his real work. Earlier, Gallagher had run the ‘Watch Gang’ company with 60 employees. She could not make profit. From this he learned – more people means more expenses and slower decisions. Earning Rs 28 crores daily, helping homeless youth with this.
