Blast Outside Punjab BJP Office Triggers Panic; Probe Launched

A CFSL team has reached the site to collect evidence and investigate the incident, according to senior Chandigarh Police officials.

Sounds of an explosion were heard outside the Punjab BJP office in Sector 37, Chandigarh, on Wednesday evening.

A CFSL team has arrived at the site to collect evidence and investigate the incident, senior Chandigarh Police officials said. No casualties have been reported.

The noise was heard around 5 pm, said state BJP leader Vineet Joshi, who added that the police are probing the matter. Further details are awaited.

Senior police officers, including Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwardip Kaur, visited the site to assess the situation, and the area has been cordoned off for security.
