Airport land acquisition brings wealth to Dayanatpur near Noida, buffalo sheds give way to SUVs and real estate as industry projects and jobs rise around the new hub.

Located in Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar region near Noida, the airport is designed to ease congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport.
In a quiet village near Noida International Airport, SUVs have taken over buffalo sheds— a striking sign of sudden wealth after the airport project reshaped lives.
In Dayanatpur village, land acquisition for the airport has resulted in a massive cash inflow. Nearly 700 hectares were acquired, and most families received compensation exceeding Rs 1 crore, transforming a largely agrarian economy almost overnight.
The impact is visible everywhere. Traditional cattle enclosures have been redesigned into lawns, meeting spaces, and even air-conditioned structures. In some cases, luxury vehicles now stand where livestock once did.
Residents say the change is not just about money, but opportunity. With the airport now operational, the region is seeing rapid development, including warehouses, logistics hubs, and hospitality projects. Companies such as Foxconn and Havells India are setting up operations nearby, turning the area into an emerging industrial belt.
Officials estimate that the project could generate over 50,000 jobs, raising hopes among locals for employment closer to home.
For many in Dayanatpur, the transformation is still sinking in — from farming fields and buffalo sheds to booming real estate and rising aspirations, all within a matter of months.
