Star Portuguese footballer Bernardo Silva is set to leave Manchester City as his contract is nearing its end. The Portuguese star has offers from across the globe, but his preferred destination is clear: Barcelona.

As per To BallSilva, who joined City in 2017, has made it clear that his priority is to play at Camp Nou. He has communicated this to his agent Jorge Mendes, who shares a strong relationship with Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco.

Mendes has facilitated multiple moves to the club in the past, including Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, Marc Casadó and João Cancelo. According to the report, Silva is keen on a switch to La Liga, with the ambition of becoming part of the Blaugrana setup.

Barcelona no longer view Silva’s signing as a priority. While they once pursued him, he is no longer a top target for the sporting director, because the club feels well-stocked in midfield.

But Silva’s versatility permits him to operate on the right flank as well.

But as per To BallSilva is prepared to wait for a potential offer from Barcelona before considering the other proposals on his table. While he has interest from top European clubs such as Juventus, there are also offers from MLS and Saudi Arabia. For now, though, his priority remains Barcelona and he appears willing to be patient.

At the same time, Silva is expected to attract significant interest this summer. Juventus are ready to offer him a three-year deal worth €7-8 million per year, according to reports.

Silva has options in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer as well, with Inter Miami showing interest. In Spain, Atletico Madrid have been linked, while Galatasaray have also emerged as a potential destination.

Meanwhile, under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, Manchester City has enjoyed unprecedented success, with Silva, one of his most trusted lieutenants, playing a key role throughout the journey.
