US-Israeli strikes targeted an Iranian port near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, killing at least five people, according to Iranian state media.
The attack comes amid rising tensions in the region, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining a critical global energy route through which a significant share of the world’s oil passes.
“The American-Zionist enemy carried out a criminal attack at the quay of Bandar Khamir, killing five people and injuring four others,” the official IRNA news agency reported.
