US President Donald Trump on Tuesday shared a message from Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his Truth Social account, highlighting Islamabad’s offer to mediate talks to end the West Asia conflict.
The message had earlier been posted by Sharif on X, where he expressed Pakistan’s willingness to host dialogue aimed at bringing peace to the region.
Earlier, Sharif said that Islamabad is prepared to host negotiations aimed at ending the US-Israel-Iran war, signalling the country’s willingness to act as a mediator in the escalating conflict.
“Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing efforts to pursue dialogue to end the WAR in Middle East, in the interest of peace and stability in region and beyond,” Sharif wrote on X.
“Subject to concurrence by the US and Iran, Pakistan stands ready and honoured to be the host to facilitate meaningful and conclusive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict,” he added.

Sharif confirmed that he had spoken with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, offering Islamabad’s support in fostering peace. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also reported discussions with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, reinforcing Pakistan’s role as a potential facilitator.
Earlier, Islamabad’s Foreign ministry spokesman Tahir Hussain Andrabi told AFP that Pakistan has “consistently advocated for dialogue and diplomacy to promote peace and stability in the region” and remains “always willing to host talks.”
Former ambassador to Oman Imran Ali Chaudhry noted that Pakistan’s army chief recently held undisclosed talks with US negotiators in the Gulf, indicating ongoing diplomatic engagement.
“Around two to two-and-a-half weeks ago, Field Marshal Asim Munir went to Oman on a trip that was not disclosed and he held a four-hour meeting with (Steve) Witkoff and (Jared) Kushner,” Chaudhry said.
Pakistan shares a long-standing relationship with Iran and has publicly condemned the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while congratulating his son and successor, Mojtaba. The country’s Shia minority, accounting for roughly 10–15 percent of the population, has been affected by unrest following Khamenei’s death, including violent protests at US diplomatic missions.
