Police raided the house of famous film director Lokesh Kanagaraj amid the code of conduct implemented before the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. During a search in Ashok Nagar, Chennai, a flying squad of police seized 10 AK-47 rifles belonging to Lokesh Kanagaraj.
This case initially created a stir in the film industry and the administration, but after investigation it was found that these were actually dummy guns. As a director, Lokesh has made films like ‘Qaidi’, ‘Master’ and ‘Vikram’.

Props were ordered for shooting
Police officials clarified that these 10 AK-47 rifles were not genuine. These were being taken to be used in the shooting of an upcoming film project of Lokesh Kanagaraj. When the film team showed the necessary legal documents and papers related to these weapons to the officials.
Only then did the police realize their mistake. After completing the paperwork, the police returned these dummy weapons safely to the film team.
