Meta, the company that operates WhatsApp, has introduced a ‘parent-managed’ account model. With this, now even children below 13 years of age will be able to use WhatsApp.
Till now the minimum age to use WhatsApp was 13 years. In this new feature, parents or guardians will be able to completely control their children’s accounts.
The company says that this feature has been designed after suggestions from experts and families so that children can do messaging and calling safely.
