Rahul Gandhi spoke to students at a college in Idukki, Kerala on Friday.
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that not many people are watching the film Kerala Story-2: Goes Beyond and this is good news. He said that films, TV and media are increasingly being used as propaganda.
Rahul Gandhi made this comment while talking to students on Friday at Marian College in Kuttikanam, Idukki, Kerala. A student had asked a question on films being used as propaganda.
On this Gandhi said- The good news is that the Kerala story seems hollow and people are not going to see it. This also shows that many people have not understood Kerala and its traditions and culture properly.
He said that today films, television and media are increasingly being used as weapons to spread hatred. These are used to defame people, destroy them and create divisions in society, so that some people benefit and others suffer.

The student of Marion College asked Rahul a question related to films.
5 big things about Rahul’s communication with students…
- RSS people in university- The pressure of a particular ideology is increasing on the education system of the country. If you look at the vice-chancellors of universities, many of them have been appointed because they are associated with the RSS or a particular ideology. Education should not be limited to any one thought.
- Expressed concern over AI and data- India has not yet reached the level of America and China. If India wants to become strong in the field of AI, it will have to take control of its data. The US has broad access to global data, while China controls its own data, giving it a stronger position in AI.
- Effect of war on the world- On the surface, the ongoing tension in West Asia appears to be a conflict between America and Israel versus Iran, but the big geopolitical players are America, China and Russia. The Middle East is the center of global energy production and conflicts there affect the entire world.
- Likes chess and martial arts- I don’t watch many movies. I like playing chess and doing martial arts. To stay fit, I swim, run and exercise.

Rahul also tried some steps of Kalaripayattu, the traditional martial art of Kerala, along with Congress MPs KC Venugopal and Dean Kuriakose.
- It takes time to understand Kerala- I represented Wayanad, Kerala for five years, but am still in the process of understanding the state completely. The landslide in Wayanad was a big tragedy. Despite this, people helped each other, which shows the strength of Kerala society.
