Sunrisers won the toss and decided to bat first. The team scored 170 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Jonny Bairstow scored the highest score of 50 runs. Jordan Harmon scored 41 runs and captain Tristan Stubbs scored 26 runs. Bryce Parsons took maximum 3 wickets for Capitals.

In reply, Pretoria Capitals achieved the target by losing 3 wickets in 18.3 overs. On behalf of Capitals, Bryce Parsons also showed strong hands in batting and scored 60 runs. Dewald Brewis scored 75 not out.

Capitals team reached the final for the second time
