Late actor Dharmendra’s last film ‘Ikkis’ is going to be released on January 1, 2026. This film is very special for the Deol family. Before the release, a special screening of ‘Ikkis’ will be held at PVR Icon, Andheri on 29th December, which will be hosted by Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
Both the actor’s sons Sunny and Bobby will pay tribute to their father through this. Apart from the film industry, people from the media will also participate in this special screening.
Recently, while talking to news agency ANI, the film’s director Sriram Raghavan shared his memories about Dharmendra.

He had said- ‘I met him in October. At that time his health was fine, but not very good. He had watched the first part of the film and was waiting for the second part.
I wanted them to watch the entire film. But for some reason this could not happen. They are no longer with us to enjoy the work they did, and people understand that. We regret this.
Ikkis is a war biopic, based on the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Arun Khetrapal was India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra winner, who showed extraordinary bravery in the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
In the film, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda is playing the role of Arun Khetarpal, while Dharmendra is playing his father. The film Ikkis is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.

Let us tell you that Dharmendra has written a poem for this film and also lent his voice to it. The name of this poem is “Aaj bhi ji karda ae, pind apne nu jaanwa”. Which means in Hindi that even today I feel like going to my village.
This poem shows the feelings and memories of a person towards his village. In this video, Dharmendra expresses in words his love for his village and his desire to return there.
