Modi said- People of Bengal are troubled by TMC’s misgovernance.

Modi said on Friday before the tour – People of West Bengal are troubled due to TMC’s misgovernance in every sector. TMC’s loot and threats have crossed all limits. That’s why people have hope for BJP.

Responding on social media platform X, TMC wrote-

  • The Prime Minister’s statements are correct that Bengal is troubled, but the reason for this is the Central Government. That the Center collected more than Rs 6.5 lakh crore from Bengal in the form of GST and direct tax between 2017-18 to 2023-24, but the state is still withholding about Rs 2 lakh crore.
  • The Central Government is repeatedly insulting the culture, spiritual and historical identity of Bengal. People are being called Bangladeshi for speaking their mother tongue, being detained and in some cases even being deported out of the country wrongfully.
