The exam aims to identify highly qualified doctors for super speciality training in various medical fields and ensure a standardised, merit-based selection process across all premier INIs. It helps maintain uniform academic excellence in advanced medical education while filling DM and MCh seats with candidates who possess the clinical knowledge, aptitude, and expertise required for specialised practice. Essentially, the INI SS exam is conducted to admit the most competent postgraduate doctors into top-tier super speciality programmes in India.
