India has launched Operation Sagar Bandhu to support Sri Lanka after catastrophic floods and landslides triggered by Cyclone Ditwah. INS Vikrant and other naval assets have been deployed to rush emergency supplies – including food, tents, blankets, medicines and essentials – while stranded families are being airlifted to safety. With the NDRF also mobilised, India has mounted one of its strongest recent humanitarian missions in the region, underscoring solidarity and cooperation beyond borders.
