After this he was admitted to the hospital. After which he could not participate in the match. In place of Gill, one of Sai Sudarshan, Devdutt Padikkal or Nitish Reddy may get a chance.

Wiaan Mulder has scored the most runs for South Africa in 2025. He also scored a triple century against Zimbabwe. Whereas left arm spinner Keshav Maharaj remains the top bowler of the team with 22 wickets.
The match will start half an hour earlier
The second test will start at 9 o’clock. Usually, Test matches in India start at 9:30, but in the north-eastern regions of India including Guwahati, the sun rises early and not only that, it also sets early. Therefore this match will start soon.
The first session of Guwahati test will be between 9 am to 11 am. After that there will be a tea break of 20 minutes. Then the second session will be played between 11:20 and 1:20. After that there will be a 40 minute lunch break. Then the third session will be played from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The pitch of Barsapara Stadium is considered batting friendly. Here batsmen get more help than bowlers. Although the Test will be played here for the first time, nothing can be said on the pitch. If we look at the T20 and ODI matches at Barsapara Stadium, it can be a balanced pitch. The new ball may provide some help to the fast bowlers in the initial days.

Barsapara will become India’s 30th test venue
The first Test will be played at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, which will become India’s 30th and 124th Test venue in the world. This stadium was completed in the year 2012, the first international match was played here in the form of T-20 between India and Australia in 2017.
