Today, on the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday, November 21, the Sensex is trading at 85,350, falling by more than 250 points. There is also a decline of 70 points in Nifty, it is at the level of 26,120.
23 out of 30 Sensex stocks are in decline. At the same time, 44 out of 50 stocks of Nifty are down. There is a decline in all sectors of NSE. The biggest decline is in metal, banking and realty stocks.
Asian markets fell by up to 4%, American also fell
- Asian Market: Japan’s Nikkei was down 2.15% at 48,754, Korea’s Kospi was down 3.84% at 3,851 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 2.07% at 25,300.
- US Market: On November 20, America’s Dow Jones fell 0.84% to close at 45,752. At the same time, Nasdaq Composite closed down 2.15% and S&P 500 closed down 1.56%.
foreign vs domestic investors
On November 20, foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹283.65 crore and domestic investors (DIIs – big funds of our country) bought shares worth ₹824.46 crore. So far this month, FIIs have sold shares worth ₹12,074.94 crore. Whereas, DIIs bought shares worth ₹51,159.55 crore.
Yesterday the market closed with a rise of 446 points
There was a rise in the stock market on Thursday, 20 November. Sensex closed at 85,633, up 446 points. There was also a jump of 140 points in Nifty, it closed at 26,192.
15 out of 30 Sensex stocks rose. Shares of Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Reliance closed more than 2% higher. Shares of Asian Paints and HCL Tech declined today.
34 out of 50 Nifty stocks closed higher. There was a rise in NSE’s auto, metal, private bank and FMCG sectors. IT closed flat today. Media, pharma, banking and realty stocks declined.
