MCC has revised the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 seat matrix, adding 239 new seats and withdrawing 235 DNB seats.
MCC updates NEET PG Round 1 seat matrix with major changes.
NEET PG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a new notice for Round 1 of NEET PG Counselling 2025, announcing important changes in the seat matrix. According to the update, 239 new PG seats from Deemed Universities, recently approved by the NMC, have been added for Round 1.
At the same time, 235 PG DNB seats have been withdrawn as per information provided by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). This includes 186 seats from government institutes and 49 seats from private colleges.
Due to the withdrawal of these DNB seats, the roster for government institutes offering DNB programmes has been revised. However, officials confirmed that the roster for the All India Quota for MD and MS programmes remains unchanged.
Additional MD, MS and Deemed University seats sanctioned by the NMC will be included in the seat matrix during Round 2 of the counselling process.
Following the revision, the updated schedule for Round 1 of PG Counselling 2025 has been released.

Candidates taking part in Round 1 can now change their previous choices or fill new options based on the updated seat matrix. MCC has advised all students to carefully check the revised seat details before locking their final choices.

- The revised schedule applies to everyone in Round 1.
- Fresh choices can be added for the newly included seats.
Notably, the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC will release the NEET PG Seat Allotment Result 2025 on November 22, 2025. The Round 1 seat allotment results will be available to candidates on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.
Aspirants are advised to keep checking the official counselling portal for official updates and ensure that they make necessary changes to their preferences before the choice-filling deadline.
