A case has been registered against film director SS Rajamouli for insulting religious sentiments. Hindu Sena’s national president Vishnu Gupta has lodged an FIR against the director in Delhi Police. They allege that SS Rajamouli made derogatory remarks on Lord Hanuman, which has hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.

Vishnu Gupta has demanded an investigation from Delhi Police. He says that Rajamouli’s comments hurt religious sentiments. Additionally, social and community harmony may also be disrupted. He has appealed to the police to take immediate action in this matter and implement strict rules to prevent this from happening again.

Let us tell you that this entire controversy started with the teaser launch event of the film ‘Varanasi’ on 17th November. There was a delay in playing the teaser due to a technical glitch during the launch event in Hyderabad.

On the delay, the director had said- ‘I don’t have much faith in God. Father used to say that whenever I am in any trouble, Hanuman will stand behind me and show me the path. But as soon as this mess happened, I got very angry. Does such a God help?

On stage, SS Rajamouli also said that his wife also believes in Lord Hanuman. But when there was a technical problem, he even got angry with his wife for some time.

Rajamouli tried to play the teaser again and this time when the teaser did not work, he said that if his father’s Hanuman helped him once, then he wanted to see whether his wife’s Hanuman helps him again or not.

After the clip of the event went viral, people accused SS Rajamouli of hurting religious sentiments and demanded an apology from him.
