The disappearance of a young man from Ambala district who had gone to Russia in search of work has brought great grief to the family. It is being told that the young man had gone to Russia for labour. But following the advice of a colonel there, he joined the Russian army.

After a few days he was sent to the border, and now there is no trace of him for the last 23 days. The family has appealed to the Indian government to find the young man and bring him back as soon as possible.

Javed had gone to Russia for a job
32-year-old Mohammad Javed, a resident of Ambala, went to Russia in August 2025 with the hope of better earnings. He was the only support of his family. There is an old mother, wife, three small children and a sister at home. Initially Javed worked as a laborer in Russia, but after some time, due to greed for more money, he came in contact with an agent. Who tricked him into getting the job of “bunker digging in the Russian Army”.

Russian colonel recruited, gave 15 days training
Javed’s sister told that a colonel in Russia contacted him and offered to join the army as a laborer. The colonel said that he would only get the work of digging bunkers and in return he would be given a good salary. Javed accepted the offer and after 15 days of training he was sent to the border.
Family members say that initially Javed used to talk to the family on phone daily. He had also told that the situation is very difficult and there is an atmosphere of tension all around. But in the last phone conversation 23 days ago, Javed just said – take care of my children and wife. Since then the family has not been able to have any contact with him.

Javed’s wife and mother are in bad condition and crying. The wife told that since Javed has left, the responsibilities of the house have fallen on her. Now when no one is able to contact him, the entire family is in anxiety. Javed’s mother said that she prays every day that her son returns safely.
Javed’s sister told that she has sought help from the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs. He said that our brother had gone to Russia as a laborer, but he was pushed into the war. Now we don’t know whether he is alive or not. The government is requested to find our brother and bring him safely to India.

Javed’s family members sitting in Ambala are now hoping for help from the government. He said that he requests Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Foreign Minister to trace his son. The family members said that now only prayers and tears are left in their house. With every ringing of the phone, there is hope that Javed might have called – but then there is silence.
