Asaram Bapu Granted 6-Month Interim Bail From Rajasthan High Court In Rape Case

The Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday granted six months’ interim bail to self-proclaimed godman Asaram on medical grounds.
Asaram, who is currently serving a life sentence in a rape case, had filed a regular bail plea citing his deteriorating health and the need for medical treatment.
The matter was heard by the Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma.
At present, Asaram is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
Considering the medical reports and the current health situation, the High Court granted him interim bail for a period of six months.
