Olivia Wilde is set to star alongside Pedro Pascal and David Harbour in ‘Behemoth!’, an upcoming feature from acclaimed filmmaker Tony Gilroy for Searchlight Pictures. The film, described as a “love letter to the music of the movies and the people who make it”, begins shooting in Los Angeles later this week, with Eva Victor also joining the cast.
Marking Gilroy’s first major project since the Emmy-nominated ‘Andor’ Season 2, ‘Behemoth!’ reunites him with longtime collaborators Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy, who serve as producers.
The story follows a musician, played by Pascal, who hails from a family of artists and returns to Los Angeles, where he reconnects with his former lover, portrayed by Wilde. While plot details remain tightly guarded, the project promises to blend Gilroy’s signature storytelling depth with a rich, character-driven exploration of art and emotion.
Overseeing the project for Searchlight are Rayne Roberts, senior vice president of production, and creative executive Cameron Chidsey, reporting to production and development heads DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
Wilde, who last directed and starred in ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, recently helmed ‘The Invite’, a relationship drama featuring Seth Rogen, Penlope Cruz, and Edward Norton. She also appeared in Rogen’s Apple TV+ series ‘The Studio’ and Damien Chazelle’s ‘Babylon’.
