What started as a verbal spat between two groups of IRCTC employees soon turned into a violent clash after some, still in uniform, turned on each other while stunned passengers looked on. A complete chaos soon erupted with a flurry of kicks, slaps, and punches. A video of the incident, going viral, captures the entire incident.
It shows one man taking off his belt and swinging it at a co-worker, while others retaliated with bare hands, escalating the scuffle further. In the background, passengers can be seen backing away from the chaos — some recording the incident on their phones, while others stood frozen in disbelief as the brawl grew more violent.

Indian Railways Takes Stock Of The Situation
Taking action against those involved in the incident, the Indian Railways, in an official statement, stated that those involved in the matter have already been arrested.
“The railway administration took immediate cognisance of the incident and initiated strict action. All guilty individuals have been arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). A fine of Rs 5 lakh has been imposed on the concerned contractor, and a notice has been issued to terminate the contract,” said Northern Railway in an official statement.
It also mentioned that the identity cards of all four vendors involved were seized at the time of their detention.

Several social media users appreciated Indian Railways for prompt action. “In terms of action on complaints, Indian Railway is the best department in the country… If you have guts to complain against over charging with some proof , they impose 50000 penalty for 5 rs over charging,” said one netizen.
