The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the notification for the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2025. Online registration for MP SET 2025 will open on October 25, 2025, and close on November 20, 2025. Applications can be submitted online by visiting either of the official websites at mponline.gov.in and mppsc.mp.gov.in.

Candidates can make corrections to their applications between October 30 and November 22, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be held on January 11, 2026. Candidates will be given a total of three hours to answer the questions. Paper I will have 100 marks and paper II will comprise 200 marks.

The MP SET is a state-level written examination designed to qualify candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Madhya Pradesh. The exam comprises of two papers- Paper 1 (Mandatory): General Paper on Teaching and Research Aptitude and Paper 2 (Optional): Subject-specific paper chosen by the candidate.

MP SET 2025: Steps To Apply

Step 1 – Visit the official website, mppsc.mp.gov.in.

Step 2 – Click on the MP SET 2025 application link on the portal.

Step 3 – Register by entering personal and academic details.

Step 4 – Complete the application form, upload documents, and pay fees.

Step 5 – Review and submit the form.

Step 6 – Download the confirmation page and keep a printout for reference.

MP SET 2025 will be conducted for a total of 31 subjects. Some of the major subjects include Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science and Applications, Criminology, Defence and Strategic Studies, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science, Law, Library and Information Science, Biology, Management, Mathematical Sciences, Dance, Philosophy, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Marathi, Music, Sanskrit, Sociology, Traditional Sanskrit Subjects (Astrology, Oriental, Literature, Grammar, Dharmashastra), Urdu, Painting, and Yoga.

Candidates from the Unreserved or Economically Weaker Sections must secure at least 40 per cent marks overall, while candidates from Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Disabilities must achieve a minimum score of 35 per cent to clear the exam.
