2 Injured In Shooting Near Sweden’s Orebro Mosque
Two people got injured on Friday in a shooting incident near a mosque in Sweden’s Orebro. According to the local media report, the police is investigating the case as attempted murder. Police is looking for the attacker, the incident was reported at 1:45 pm local time.
Both injured victims are hospitalised and the Swedish police confirmed injuries.
Public broadcaster SVT reported, citing an unidentified eyewitness, that one person was shot shortly after leaving the mosque following Friday prayers.
The local reports mention police as saying that this incident is “isolated” and inter-gang, the mosque was not the aim.

Orebro Shooting
On February 4th, Orebro witnessed one of Sweden’s worst-ever mass shootings. The incident occurred at a school campus. The shooter was identified as 35-year-old, Rickard Andersson, shot dead 10 victims and injured six others at the Campus Risbergska adult education college and then shot himself before police could arrest him.
This surpassed the 1994 spree shooting in Falun as the deadliest mass shooting in Sweden, which saw Mattias Flink, a second lieutenant in the army, kill seven people.
