On October 14, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,508.53 crore in the cash segment.
Today, on the third trading day of the week i.e. Wednesday, October 15, the Sensex has risen by more than 300 points and is close to 82,350. Nifty is also up by 100 points, it is at 25,250.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 are rising. Shares of Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, NTPC and L&T are up more than 1%. There is a decline in Tech Mahindra and Axis Bank. There is a boom in IT, banking and realty sectors of NSE.
Asian markets fall, American markets close higher
- In Asian markets, Korea’s Kospi is trading up 1.83% at 3,626 and Japan’s Nikkei is up 1.31% at 47,463.
- Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index was up 1.10% at 25,720 and China’s Shanghai Composite was trading 0.065% lower at 3,862.
- On October 14, America’s Dow Jones closed at 46,270, up 0.44%. The Nasdaq Composite lost 0.76% and the S&P 500 lost 0.16%.
FII bought shares worth Rs 2,333 crore on October 14
- On October 14, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,508.53 crore in the cash segment. At the same time, domestic investors (DIIs) made net purchases of Rs 3,661.13 crore.
- Foreign investors have so far sold shares worth ₹1,961.67 crore in the month of October. Whereas domestic investors have made net purchases of Rs 17,791.56 crore during this period.
- Foreign investors have sold shares worth ₹35,301.36 crore in the month of September. Whereas domestic investors had made net purchases of ₹ 65,343.59 crore during this period.
The market had fallen 300 points yesterday
On Tuesday, October 14, the second trading day of the week, the Sensex fell by 297 points and closed at the level of 82,030. Nifty also fell by 82 points, closing at 25,146.
Out of 30 Sensex shares, 26 shares closed falling. A total of 10 shares, including Bajaj Finance and BEL, closed down. There was a decline in all sectors of NSE. Media, metal, banking and consumer durables fell the most.
