British PM Starmer arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai this morning.
The British Prime Minister Kir Stmper arrived in Mumbai this morning on a 2 -day tour. This is his first visit to India after becoming Prime Minister. He is also accompanied by a delegation of more than 100 people from business, culture and other regions.
The purpose of this journey is to further strengthen relations between India and Britain. PM Modi will meet the stormer in Mumbai on 9 October and discuss the development of partnership under ‘Vision 2030’.
Earlier, PM went on a visit to Britain in Modi in August this year. There he signed the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the stormer.
The purpose of the agreement is to double the mutual trade by 2030 to reach $ 120 billion. FTA will make it easier to sell Indian products such as clothes, leather and agri products in Britain. Also, British whiskey and cars will benefit in India.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar welcomed the PM Stmper at the airport.

Starmer has come to India with a business delegation of more than 100 people.
According to media reports, Starmer can participate in a football program at the Couprase Ground today. Apart from this, Yash Raj Studios can visit and meet many major industrialists.
Next, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is expected to meet him in the evening.
There will be talk on 4 important issues in the stormer’s visit to India
- Business and Investment: The two countries have recently signed a major trade agreement (CETA). This will be discussed so that the trade can be further enhanced, which will increase shops, business and jobs.
- Technology and Innovation: The two countries will work together in areas such as Fintech (Digital Money Transaction), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Computing (new type of superfast computer) and cyber security (online security).
- Defense and Security: There will be talk of preventing terrorism, monitoring Khalistani activities and catching economic criminals.
- Climate, Energy, Health, Education and Mutual Relationships: Both countries will also focus on saving the environment, clean energy, better health services, education and increasing friendship among people.
Modi-stormer will attend the Fintech event in Mumbai
The stormer and Modi will take part in the Global Fintech Fest 2025 in Mumbai. It is the world’s largest fintech event, which will run from 7 to 9 October.
Its agenda is to strengthen AI operated finance. In this, there will be discussion on making financial technology more inclusive, fast and strong. Many global leaders, regulators and innovators will come here. New opportunities will be discovered for Fintech companies.
More than 100,000 participants from more than 75 countries are expected to come in it, making it one of the largest fintech celebrations in the world. The event will include around 7,500 companies, 800 speakers, 400 exhibitors and 70 regulators representing both Indian and international jurisdiction.

Will talk about investment and technology in Bengaluru
Kir Stmper will go to Bengaluru after Mumbai. Bengaluru is the technology hub of India, where they will talk on investment and technology.
Their purpose is to speed up the Indo-Bitten Technology Security Initiative (TSI). This includes sectors such as AI, quantum computing and biotech. After FTA, there will be special emphasis on increasing investment.

It will work together in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Computing, Biotechnology and Semiconductor. The stormers will meet tech companies and startups in Bengaluru and plan to intensify the program.
