Israel has started ground operation in Gaza City. CNN confirmed this on Tuesday morning quoting two Israeli officials as saying.
The attack has started from the outskirts of Gaza City. Aerial attacks of Israel continued throughout the night here. 38 people were killed in these attacks.
According to an Israeli army official, about 3.2 lakh people have left the city so far.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katj said that the army is bravely fighting for the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas. Katj said that Gaza is burning, the army is attacking the terrorists’ bases with full force.
He further said that,

We will not back down nor stop until the mission is complete.


The Israeli army targeted tall buildings of Gaza City on Monday night.
Last month, possession of Gaza City was approved
Israel approved the plan to capture Gaza City in August last month i.e. in August. Under this, an order was issued to call about 60 thousand reserve soldiers on duty.
According to the plan, a total of 1.30 lakh soldiers will be deployed for the campaign to occupy Gaza City. Soldiers will be given notice at least two weeks before joining duty.
In the first batch, on September 2, the schedule of calling about 40-50 thousand soldiers was fixed. The second batch will be convened in November-December and third February-March 2026.
This campaign has been named Gidon’Se Cheriates-B. Also, the service of thousands of reserve soldiers already doing duty has also been extended for 30-40 days.
The operation will include 5 Army Divisions and 12 Brigade-Level teams, including pedestrians, tanks, artillery, engineering and support units. Apart from this, North and South Brigade of Gaza Division are also participating.

Israel’s control over 75% area of Gaza
The aim of Israel is to enter areas in Gaza City where Hamas is still suspected to be hostage in possession. These are the areas where the Israeli army had not taken mass action till now.
According to the Israeli Army (IDF), it has control over about 75% of the Gaza Strip. Gaza City is in the 25% area that is not in the possession of IDF.
At present, Hamas has 50 hostage in Gaza. It is estimated that these are still 20, while 28 have been killed.
