The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former India cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa in connection with its probe into an illegal betting app case.
Both Yuvraj and Uthappa have been asked to record their statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with a case linked to betting platform 1xBet, sources said.
While Yuvraj will appear in front of the agency on September 23, Uthappa has been asked to present himself on September 22. He is the fourth former Indian cricketer to be summoned in this case, following the recent questioning of Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan, and Yuvraj.
Yuvraj has already appeared before the agency once in June.

The agency has also questioned several public figures in connection with the probe. On Monday, it recorded the statement of former TMC MP and actor Mimi Chakraborty, while Bengali actor Ankush Hazra appeared on Tuesday in response to his summons. Actor Urvashi Rautela, who is the India brand ambassador of 1xBet, has yet to appear before the agency, officials added.
The investigation concerns alleged illegal betting apps that are suspected to have duped investors of crores of rupees and evaded substantial taxes.
According to its website, 1xBet describes itself as a globally recognised bookmaker with nearly two decades in the betting industry, offering wagers on thousands of sporting events and services in 70 languages.
