Balwan Poonia, the father of Haryana Olympian wrestler and father of All India Farmers Congress Bajrang Poonia, died on Thursday. Both of his lungs were damaged. He was admitted to Gangaram Hospital in Delhi for 18 days.

Bajrang Poonia posted a post on social media about this. He wrote- Bapuji did not stay with us. He breathed his last at 6:30 pm. He had taken us people here with great hard work. They were the backbone of our entire family. Do not understand what life would be without them.
Bajrang Poonia further wrote- The funeral of the father will be performed in our village Khuddan (Jhajjar) at 11 am on Friday.
